Targeting increased development exposure following launch of €1bn JV with Quadreal

Valor Real Estate Partners (“Valor”), the pan-European logistics platform, has appointed Victor Massias to the newly created role of Head of Developments, as it looks to further build out its development capabilities in the UK and Continental Europe.

Mr. Massias, who joined Valor in 2016 and is based in Paris, has also been promoted to Partner, strengthening Valor’s senior leadership team alongside Managing Partner Christian Jamison and Cane Napolitano, Head of Investments.

In his new role Mr. Massias will oversee all of Valor’s in-house development activity, including delivering the current pipeline of over one million sq ft in London and Paris, from origination through to construction and stabilisation. Development will form an increasingly important part of Valor’s future strategy as it seeks to maximise capital returns through its investment in urban logistics assets. His appointment follows the November 2020 launch of a Joint Venture with QuadReal to invest over €1 billion in urban logistics assets in the UK, France and Germany, with a significant commitment to development opportunities.

Mr. Massias joined Valor as a Principal and has played a key role in its growth, in particular establishing Valor’s market leading position in the French market, where it has amassed an approximately €400 million, 30-asset portfolio of strategically located infill properties, primarily around Paris. Mr. Massias, who started his career at CBRE Global Investors, was previously a Director at IDI Gazeley Brookfield.

Valor currently manages a more than 80-asset portfolio across approximately 6 million sq ft and c. €1bn of AUM on behalf of a number of global investors.
